We are in the middle of shooting of our new music video. We chose a song titled Die, Die My Darling written by The Misfits. This Sunday we shot a scene where our main character is chasing the guy she wants to kill.
Last Sunday we tried to emulate multiple bullet hits as if someone was shooting a tommy gun. The result was pretty lame and we’re going to reshoot this short. Photos of the process are available. Read More →
As far as we don´t have a title for our upcoming action short, we´re just gonna call it Action Movie. So the first day of shooting went very well. The best thing was that we shot the most complicated scene in the whole movie. The car was chasing the motorcycle and they shot each other with an assault rifle and a pistol.
Our cinematographers Ivan and Kostya were belt up in the back of the van and shot the bike and the car from there.
We are currently shooting the new short Morning. It’s about a guy who wakes up after some party and tries to remember what had happened there.
We’ve already shot about a half of the needed material. This Sunday we plan to complete the shooting process and start post-production. The short is going to be released in early August.
This photo is some sort of a distillation of the whole filming process: bunch of people gather around a small object and do some strange looking things to make it appear nicely in the frame.
Many people remember the first Russian j-horror “Dead Daughters”. After its release in 2007 there were two common opinions: some thought that director Pavel Ruminov was a genious and that he was the only hope of Russian cinema. Others considered him to be a self-enamoured, mentally unbalanced and mediocre. I wish more people watched “Dead Daughters” irrelative of the director.
This fall the new movie directed by Ruminov is going to be released. It’s a romantic comedy and that’s the only fact known about this movie. Even more so it’s being filmed right now.
“The Circumstances” has its blog on LiveJournal, in which one can find photos, storyboards and other interesting materials. Most of that information is presented in English.
